One-page setup guide

RedemptionBase Quick Start.

From purchase to the first customer without hunting through menus.

1. Activate RedemptionBase

Open bottleredemptionbase.com/app/. Choose LOAD LICENSE FILE and select the .rblic file sent after your purchase. Activation is local; after a valid license is loaded, RedemptionBase does not need to keep checking a licensing server to run.

2. Set up your center

Enter the redemption center name, Owner name and Owner PIN. Generate the Owner recovery code, save or print it, choose the feature preset that fits the center, and continue.

3. Turn on data protection

If your device supports it, choose TURN ON AUTOMATIC SAFETY BACKUP and select a safe folder. A Google Drive or OneDrive synced location is a good choice. If automatic external backup is not available on that device, choose SKIP FOR NOW and use Full Backup regularly.

4. Load Maine Registration Data (optional)

Go to Admin → SETUP → Maine Registration Data. Download the current Returnable Container Registration List from Maine DEP and choose LOAD DOWNLOADED MAINE XLS. The lookup reports what the loaded source contains; it does not decide whether a container must be accepted or refused.

5. Start your first day

Go to Customer. First tap SELECT CLERK and enter the employee PIN. Then open/start the drawer and enter the opening cash amount. The selected clerk stays active for customer checkouts until you switch clerks, clock out or sign out.

6. Check out customers

Tap CHECK OUT CUSTOMER, enter the 5¢ and 15¢ counts, and choose Cash or Credit to Account. If the account does not exist, choose + CREATE NEW ACCOUNT inside checkout—your current customer counts stay in place.

7. Sorting and pickups

Record finished bags, cases and shells under Sorting. When a pickup happens, build it under Pickups, print the tally/manifest, and record reimbursement when payment arrives.

8. Close the day

Under Customer → DAY / DRAWER, count the actual drawer and close the day. RedemptionBase saves the closeout and compares actual cash with the expected drawer amount.

9. Make a Full Backup

Go to Admin → SYSTEM → Backup & Storage → Download Full Backup. Keep periodic Full Backups somewhere safe. Full Backup is also how you move a center to another device or carry evaluation data into the licensed app.

Restoring an existing center?

Use RESTORE EXISTING CENTER rather than setting the center up again. Review the center name and backup date before restoring. Restore replaces local center data; it does not merge two copies.
